The Family KITAP (Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap Keluarga) is a permanent residency permit issued to foreign nationals who qualify for long-term stay in Indonesia based on family ties, either through marriage to an Indonesian citizen or as a dependent of a KITAS/KITAP holder. It represents the highest form of residency for family-based sponsorship.Purpose and Eligibility: The Family KITAP is available to foreign spouses who have been legally married to an Indonesian citizen for at least two years and currently hold a valid spousal KITAS, or Dependents (spouse or children) of a foreign KITAS/KITAP holder under valid family sponsorship.Key Benefits:Long-Term Security: The permit is initially valid for five years and can be extended indefinitely (for a lifetime), eliminating the need for frequent annual renewals common with the KITAS.Reduced Bureaucracy: Holders receive a five-year Indonesian ID card (KTP) and a five-year Multiple Re-Entry Permit (MERP), significantly simplifying travel and day-to-day administration.Financial Privileges: It provides enhanced rights, including the ability to open local bank accounts, apply for credit cards, and, in some cases, secure local financing.Family Stability: Enables long-term residence with Indonesian family members or as dependents of a principal KITAP/KITAS holder, ensuring legal family unity under one sponsorship structure.Ease of Daily Living: Simplifies access to essential services such as banking, healthcare, education, and local administrative processes. In essence, the Family KITAP provides the foundation for a stable, legally recognized, and long-term family life in Indonesia, minimizing bureaucratic complexity while ensuring ongoing compliance with immigration regulations.Note: Our standard service does not include the KK (Kartu Keluarga - Family Card) and or KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk - ID Card).
