The Investor KITAP is Indonesia's Permanent Stay Permit, issued specifically to qualified foreign nationals who have made a substantial and sustained investment in a locally registered Foreign Investment Company (PT PMA). It grants the holder a five-year residency permit that can be extended indefinitely, providing long-term stability, reduced bureaucratic procedures, and the right to reside in Indonesia while managing their investment interests. It is the ultimate residency status for serious, long-term investors.
The Investor KITAP (Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap Penanam Modal) is the highest-tier residency permit for foreign investors in Indonesia, signifying a commitment to long-term economic participation.Purpose and Eligibility: This permit is granted to foreign investors (shareholders, directors, or commissioners) who have satisfied the minimum investment and shareholding requirements for a PT PMA and have held the preceding Investor KITAS for a minimum of three consecutive years under the same sponsor.Key Benefits:Long-Term Security: The permit is initially valid for five years and can be extended indefinitely (for a lifetime), eliminating the need for frequent annual renewals common with the KITAS.Reduced Bureaucracy: Holders receive a five-year Indonesian ID card (KTP) and a five-year Multiple Re-Entry Permit (MERP), significantly simplifying travel and day-to-day administration.Financial Privileges: It provides enhanced rights, including the ability to open local bank accounts, apply for credit cards, and, in some cases, secure local financing.Dependent Sponsorship: It allows the holder to sponsor their spouse and children for their own dependent stay permits (Family KITAP/KITAS).Property Rights: It enables the investor to own property under the Hak Pakai (Right to Use) title for an extended duration.In essence, the Investor KITAP offers a stable, long-term foundation for foreign entrepreneurs to oversee their investment, live comfortably, and contribute to the Indonesian economy with minimal immigration burden.Note: Our standard service does not include the KK (Kartu Keluarga - Family Card) and or KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk - ID Card).
